Health and Medical Care

"Whoever saved a life, it would be as if they saved the life of all mankind." (Qur'an 5:32)

The impact of poor health

At Al-Waris Foundation, we believe that every human being has the fundamental right to health and medical care. Unfortunately, for people in developing countries, this is nowhere near a possibility as they struggle to access healthcare.

In developing or low-income countries, infectious diseases pose the greatest risk to vulnerable populations and this directly affects livelihoods and labour supply to the economy, trapping many in the poverty cycle. What’s more, a lack of adequate healthcare for children in these regions who need treatment for malnourishment, means that million children are at risk of physical and cognitive development.

In developing countries across the world, Al-Waris Foundation is supporting health and community wellbeing by provide screening and treatment centres, mobile health clinics in remote areas, and health and hygiene practices to help stop the spread of infectious diseases.

Our approach goes beyond basic healthcare needs, encompassing holistic health practices. We educate communities on nutrition, provide school meals to prevent child malnutrition, and offer healthcare in areas where it is scarce.

In response to crises, we provide humanitarian aid, including emergency healthcare and clean water distribution to prevent illness. Our long-term projects involve constructing hospitals, clinics, and essential facilities, reducing illness rates and saving lives.
